Purchase Information

We encourage prospective buyers to visit the Cheyenne Canyon Paints and Quarter Horses to select a foal. After you have selected a foal, please check the Foal Sales List, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required to hold your choice. A bill of sale will be written and a date for you to pick up your foal will be selected.  The full purchase price must be paid before the foals are allowed to leave the ranch. After weaning, foals are ready to leave for their new homes. Registered foals will be ready to leave by the end of August. Buyers must provide transportation for their foals. We often have a list of names of people that might haul your foal for you. Just Ask! Transportation should be in a closed trailer or a stock trailer with full doors.  The new home for the foal should include a safe corral made of pipe or boards at least four foot high with safe gates.  Some form of shelter is necessary.  A foal usually does better if it has a buddy, so we give special consideration for those who take two or more.

Prices

Solid APHA/AQHA registered foals: (sorrels, bays) $950

Fancy APHA/AQHA (buckskins, palominos, roans, paints,): $1250-$2550

A Health certificate and Coggins report are included in the price of the foal (this usually averages $ 50 per foal).
